‘The Warden’ gains screening permit

Nima Javidi’s ‘The Warden’ has been set to start public screening in Iran cinemas soon.

According to Javidi, the film that has recently gained screening permit will soon kick off public screening in Iranian cinemas.

‘The Warden’ first screened at the 37th Fajr Film Festival in Iran. The festival attendance brought Javidi the Special Jury Award.

Produced by Majid Motalebi, the film’s storyline is centered on an old prison in late-1960s southern Iran which is in the process of being evacuated due to its proximity to the city’s airport which is under development.

The head of the prison, Major Nemat Jahed and his officers are in the midst of transferring the prisoners to the new facility…

Notable among the cast are Navid Mohammadzadeh, Parinaz Izadyar, Atila Pesyani, Setareh Pesyani, Habib Rezaee, and Mani Haqiqi.
